I trained as an actor at Ecole Philippe Gaulier. I’ve performed in most of Cartoon de Salvo’s shows to date, most recently The Irish Giant, Pub Rock and Made Up. Beyond the Salvo’s acting work includes three Kneehigh shows – Ghost Nets 11 at Godrevy Beach and Roger Salmon at Geevor Tin Mine and The Wooden Frock a Kneehigh co-production with West Yorkshire Playhouse; and for The World Famous in Squib and Crackers? and recently R&D with NIE and with Caroline Horton. I’ve been a guest improviser with the Comedy Store Players at the Comedy Store, London and Manchester.
At Gaulier I studied Le Jeu, Neutral Mask, Greek Tragedy, Bouffon, Melodrama, Masked Play, Shakespeare, Chekhov, Clown, Writing and Directing. Physical / Vocal classes were led by Linda Kerr Scott, Peta Lily, Anabel Arden, Mick Barnfather, Clive Mendus, Lilo Baur. Eight years ago I studied with Keith Johnstone at Bay Area Theatresports Improv Summer School in San Francisco and voice with Enrique Pardo in Paris. The company returned to San Francisco in 2007 to study Long-form improvisation and went on to pioneer the format in the UK. I’ve also studied with Angela de Castro, Complicite and Monika Pagneux. I recently received another Arts Council award to attend RADA’s Shakespeare Summer School.
